(Undated) — “Here today and gone tomorrow,” that’s what the Better Business Bureau is calling fake “pop-up merchants.” According to the BBB, these pop-up merchants sell a wide range of items, from holiday gifts to the latest gadgets, at significantly low or “too-good-to-be-true prices.” But more often than not, their goal is to scam buyers with bogus return policies and fake warranties. BBB Investigator, Don O’Brien, says one way to determine if a merchant is legit is to look for a BBB seal of approval. He says that the seal signifies that the merchant has been vetted and is not a scam. Learn more at bbb.org.
