Gas Prices Remain Low for Holiday Travel

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded remains below three dollars ahead of holiday travel. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.88 a gallon, four cents lower than last Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $2.95 a gallon, a dime lower than a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.84 a gallon, twelve cents higher than last Friday. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with drivers paying a statewide average of $2.28 a gallon, a penny lower than a week ago. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.28 a gallon, down eight cents from a week ago.
