(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded remains below three dollars as we close out 2025. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.76 a gallon, four cents lower than last Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $2.91 a gallon, two cents higher than a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.66 a gallon, a dime lower than last Monday. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.17 per gallon, a seven-cent drop from the 22nd. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.20 a gallon, down three cents from last Monday.
