(Robinson) — The Robinson Fire Protection District is reporting a structure fire on Saturday. They say that at around 3:30 p.m., they were dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of North Cross. The report indicates that the first arriving fire units found a 3-story multi-family dwelling with smoke showing from multiple sides. According to Robinson Fire Protection District Chief, Riley Pearce, crews immediately began an interior fire attack on the second floor but were hindered by multiple holes burned through the floor. He says additional crews located more fire on the first floor and began extinguishing it while others worked to extinguish the fire from the outside. Once the fire was out, firefighters began an “overhaul” by searching for any remaining hotspots throughout the structure. Pearce says no injuries were reported. The cause of this fire is believed to be accidental. Robinson Fire was assisted by the Robinson Police Department, Oblong Fire, and United Life Care Ambulance.
