Gas Prices Ticked Higher Since Monday

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has ticked higher over the past week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.81 a gallon, three cents higher than Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $2.89, up two cents from Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.69, nine cents lower than on Monday. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.18 per gallon, up three cents from Monday. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.18 a gallon, unchanged from the beginning of the week.
