Eagle Theater Sale Was Made Official Yesterday

(Undated) — The sale of the Eagle Theater was made official yesterday. According to Crawford County Development Association Executive Director, Resa Shaner, the Circuit Court of Crawford County confirmed and approved the sale of the Eagle to Newtek Small Business Finance, LLC. She says Newtek will take immediate possession of the property. Shaner says that Back Porch Smokehouse will continue operating at its current location with no interruption to its business or day-to-day operations. During a “Sheriff’s Auction” on December 10th, Newtek Small Business Finance, LLC was the successful bidder for the Eagle Theater property. On January 4th Eric Gubelman announced the closing of the theater. Court documents show that the CCDA received $205,264.75, which eliminated the debt owed to the CCDA.
