(Undated) — Windy and bitterly cold conditions remain in the forecast. According to the National Weather Service, wind chill values will drop to as low as 10 to 20 degrees below zero today. They say wind chill values will also fall to as low as 10 below zero tomorrow morning. After a brief “moderation of temperatures” midweek, cold air will spill back into the region Friday through the weekend, resulting in single-digit lows and sub-zero wind chills daily. A “Cold Weather Advisory” remains in effect for the listening area. The public is reminded to dress in layers, cover exposed skin, limit outdoor time, and bring pets indoors. For your vehicle, keep the gas tank at least half full, add a few blankets, maintain tire pressure, and pack a safety kit. For your home, experts recommend monitoring the furnace and considering slow-dripping faucets.
