Winter Storm Could Bring Eight Inches of Snow to the Area

(Undated) — A winter storm remains on track to impact the area beginning tomorrow. According to this morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, sub-zero wind chill values will persist today through Tuesday morning. They say snow will develop Saturday afternoon and continue through Sunday afternoon. Current models are showing a 60-70% chance of greater than 8 inches along and south of I-70. A “Cold Weather Advisory” will remain in effect until noon tomorrow as dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken. A “Winter Storm Warning” will go into effect tomorrow morning and continue through midnight Sunday.
