National Average Price at the Pump Ticks Higher

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded ticked higher over the week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.87 per gallon, two cents higher than on Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $2.92, down three cents from Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.77 a gallon, seven cents lower than the beginning of the week. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.37 per gallon, down two cents from Monday. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.25 a gallon, eight cents higher than on Monday.
