(Undated) — LaMotte firefighters were called out to a report of a travel trailer fire at 14019 North State Highway 1, Robinson, Saturday morning. According to the LaMotte Fire Department, the call was upgraded to “a working structure fire” shortly after an on-scene firefighter recognized that the trailer was inhabited and being used as a residence. Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved trailer with vehicles nearby, and a 400lb DOT propane tank sitting next to the residence venting. Crews worked quickly to extinguish the remnants of the trailer and cool the propane tank so that it could be moved away from the structure. The fire was brought fully under control by around 8:45 a.m. The trailer was reportedly a complete loss. There were no humans injured, but a pet was lost in the fire. Wabash Valley Heat and Gas removed the propane tank from the scene. Hutsonville Township Fire Department, United Life Care Ambulance Service, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, and AMEREN also responded to provide mutual aid.
