Brashear Leads the RHS Lady Maroons past Effingham

(Robinson) — Eva Brashear drove in five runs on three hits, including one home run, to lead the RHS Lady Maroons past Effingham 16-4 yesterday. Eva Hermann struck out 11 batters, allowing two runs on five hits over and walking one over five innings of work. Avah Myers pitched the final frame, giving up two runs on two hits, walking one, and striking out one. The Lady Maroons improve to 10-6 on the season. They are slated to be back in action this afternoon for a road game at Casey-Westfield. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m. The Boys are also set to face Casey-Westfield this afternoon in a 4:30 p.m. contest.
