Village of Oblong Gets ’54 Oblong Grant

(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong is a step closer to getting a new fountain thanks to a donation from 54 Oblong. According to Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, the ’54 Oblong Foundation awarded its Spring 2026 grant to the Village to help fund a new fountain at Oblong Lake. Fielder says the previous fountain has been a source of headaches for over a year, as they discovered that replacement parts to repair the fountain are obsolete. Fielder says, “With this wonderful grant, we are well on our way and will find a way to make the new fountain a reality.”
