Gas Prices Remain High Headed Into the Weekend

(Undated) — Gas prices remain high across the nation. According to GasBuddy.com, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is currently $4.05, eight cents higher than Monday. Here in the “Land of Lincoln,” the statewide average is $4.29 a gallon, up two cents from the beginning of the week. Across the Wabash River in Indiana, the statewide average is down six cents from Monday, falling to $3.70 a gallon. Oklahoma has the lowest prices in the nation at $3.43 a gallon, eight cents higher than Monday. California drivers are paying the highest statewide average at $5.87 a gallon, up two cents from Monday.
