Lady Statesmen Split Saturday Doubleheader

(Robinson) — The LTC Lady Statesmen split games with Frontier Saturday, falling 1-0 in game one. Lily Hickman started “in the circle” for LTC, surrendering two hits and one run over six innings, striking out two and walking none. In game two, Lincoln Trail scored five runs in the first inning, on their way to a 7-1 routing of Frontier. Kaitlyn Kendall opened the game for LTC, giving up six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. The Lady Statesmen are 24-25 on the season and are set to be back in action Tuesday for a road game at Kaskaskia.
