Statesmen Took Two Over Shawnee Saturday

(Undated) — The LTC Statesmen took both games of a Saturday doubleheader over Shawnee Community College. Game one saw LTC roll to a 19-14 win. Pernell Whittsett stepped on the bump first for LTC, allowing five hits and five runs over three innings, striking out five and walking five. In game two, LTC put up six runs in the first inning, en route to a 10-1 win over Shawnee. Cam Baker earned the win for LTC, surrendering six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out three and walking two. LTC is 19-24 on the season.
