Lady Maroons Hang on for a Win Over Charleston

(Robinson) — The RHS Lady Maroons hung on for a 5-4 win over Charleston in Wednesday action. Avah Myers earned the win for RHS, surrendering four runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out three and walking three. Eva Hermann threw one inning of no-run ball in relief for RHS, surrendering one hit, striking out three, and walking none. Kate Rehmel led the Lady Maroons with three runs batted in. With the win, the Lady Maroons improve to 18-7 on the season. They host Newton this afternoon with a 4:30 p.m. first pitch. The RHS boys will also be in action against the Newton Eagles this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
