(Undated) — Following several days of heavy rainfall, the National Weather Service continues to warn the public about “river flooding.” The current “Hazardous Weather Outlook” says flooding will continue on several area rivers, including the Wabash River at the Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant site. They say a “Flood Warning” will remain in effect until early Tuesday. The Wabash is expected to rise to a crest of 18.4 feet early Saturday afternoon and will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon. The public is reminded to be cautious around flood waters, especially at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Remember “Turn around, Don`t drown.”
