Thaddeus Scott “Tad” Lowrance, 63, of Parkersburg, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, IL.
Tad was born December 2, 1962, in Robinson, IL, to parents Larry Lowrance and Karen (Murphy) Stremme. He married Karen Vander Velde on July 9, 2007; she survives.
Tad was a talented craftsman who specialized in leather. He enjoyed making knife sheaths and gun holsters. He also made knives.
Tad worked at Rothrock Auctions as a ringman. He also worked several years with his father in the hardware business.
Tad is survived by his wife, Karen Lowrance of Parkersburg; brother, Tyler Lowrance and wife, Marcy, of Robinson, IL; and niece, Jessica Fuller and nephew, Gabriel Lowrance.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry Lowrance and Karen Stremme; and sister, Diana Lowrance.
Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney has been entrusted with arrangements.
