Rutan Announces ISA Scholarship Winner

(Undated) — Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, has announced the Crawford County recipient of this year’s Illinois Sheriffs’ Association scholarship. Emily Rachoy of Palestine is the 2026-2027 winning recipient from Crawford County. She will be receiving a $500 scholarship. Rutan says she is being celebrated for “demonstrating outstanding scholastic achievements and character qualities.” In total, the ISA awarded more than $58,000 in college scholarships throughout the State of Illinois to students pursuing higher education during the 2026-2027 academic year.
