By Tony Collins May 6, 2026 | 6:31 AM

(Undated) – The Crawford County Health Department is encouraging the community to take advantage of its “Residential Sharps Collection Program.” The CCHD reminds the public that the “Residential Sharps Collection Program” offers free “sharps” containers as well as proper disposal of full containers at no cost. Containers can be picked up and dropped off at four Crawford County locations, including the Crawford County Health Department, Harmon’s Drug Store in Palestine and Oblong, and Bertram Pharmacy in Robinson. The CCHD says all sharps must be in an approved container before entering the building. For questions, please call 618-544-8798. Learn more at CCHD.net.
