(Oblong) – With warmer weather comes increased use of golf carts, UTVs, and other “neighborhood vehicles.” Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, is reminding Village residents that annual permit stickers are now available. Fielder says the annual fee is $50 per year, or $25 per year for Veterans or active military. She also reminds the public that you must be at least 18 years old to drive a golf cart, UTV, or neighborhood vehicle in Oblong. She says machines must be “street-legal,” and are permitted on any Village street other than Main Street, and can be operated between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Find a full list of requirements and rules at facebook.com/OblongMayor.
