(Undated) — The Crawford County Airport Authority is reminding the public to celebrate the Grand Reopening of the new terminal building this month. Vice Chairman of the Crawford County Airport Authority, Mark Herman, says the event will officially unveil the airport’s brand-new $3.8 million terminal building. Herman says the new building is a modern, ADA-compliant, climate-resilient facility. He says the Grand Reopening, “A Day of Aviation Heritage, Community, and Celebration,” offers something for every age and interest, blending education, history, and family-friendly fun. Attendees can tour the new terminal, meet pilots and airport leaders, and learn about the airport’s proud history as a former 1940s military auxiliary field and its vital role in general aviation today. The Grand Reopening and Celebration is set for Saturday, May 30th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
