Oblong Public Works Continues Hydrant Flushing

(Oblong) — Oblong Public Works customers are being reminded of ongoing hydrant flushing. According to Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, Oblong Public Works will be finishing the hydrant flushing this week, weather permitting. She says that due to the extreme water leak this past week, the hydrant flushing was put on hold. The Village reminds the public that you may experience low water pressure or possibly discoloration in your water supply for a short time. If you do notice discoloration, please allow your water to run a bit longer, and it should clear up. Fielder says if you have concerns, please contact the OPW office at 618-592-3122.
