Fountain at Oblong Lake Fully Operational

(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong recently put the finishing touches on a project more than a year in the making. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, took to social media recently to announce that the new fountain at Oblong Lake is now fully operational. Fielder said in the post that the fountain at Oblong Lake has been one of those projects that seemed to be one step forward and two steps back. Fielder says after wiring issues, gasket issues, and a handful of other challenges, the work has now been completed. She went on to thank those businesses and community members who stepped up to help bring the project to completion, including the Oblong Lake Foundation, David and Judy Dix, ’54 Oblong Foundation, Tyler Harmon from Affordable Electrical Service LLC of Oblong, and the Public Works employees who worked through every setback.
