Frank “Pat” Clements, 51, of Robinson, IL, died on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love of his family.
Pat was born on October 19, 1974, in Greenfield, IN. Life took Pat to many different places over the years. He grew up in Robinson before spending time in Indianapolis to be near his father, later living in Colorado with friends, and eventually moving to Michigan. It was there that he met the love of his life, Carey Allen. The two were married on October 2, 1999, and together they built a life centered around family, love, and loyalty. Once they started their family, they returned to Robinson to make their home.
For 17 years, Pat served as a Supply Sergeant in the National Guard, a role that reflected his dependability and willingness to serve others. Outside of work, he was always finding something new to dive into. Pat jokingly kept what he called his “Gun Fund,” money set aside for whatever hobby had captured his interest at the moment. Whether it was drones, solar projects around his home, or competitive long-distance shooting, he enjoyed learning new things and staying busy.
Pat had a kind and generous heart. He was the type of person who would help anyone in need, often showing up to lend a hand before he was even asked. He especially loved spending time with family. At gatherings, he could usually be found outside playing with the kids, laughing alongside them, and making memories that will not be forgotten.
Becoming a grandfather brought a special kind of joy into Pat’s life. Evie and Dexterity became the center of his world. Even as his health declined and he was no longer able to get around easily, he still wanted to be part of every moment. He bought the kids a trampoline and cameras so he could know the minute they were outside playing, simply because he did not want to miss seeing them enjoy life.
More than anything else, Pat loved his wife, Carey. Her passing on August 28, 2024, left a space in his heart that never healed, and there is comfort in knowing they are together once again.
He is survived by his children, Conner (Sahara) Allen, Zachery (Ella) Clements, and Alysha Clements; by his beloved grandchildren, Evie and Dexterity Allen; by his sister and brother-in-law, Stacie and Andy Fisher; by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Duane (Jess) Allen, Kelly (Ryan) Conard, Rusty (Alex) Wellman, and Doug (Chelsea) Wellman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews: Shelby, Caleb, Camryn, Abby, Bree, Peyton, Kennedy, Adam (Kylie and daughter Harper), Hannah, Morgan, Ryleigh, Kara, Ryan, Anthony, Chris, Josh, Ian, and Kayden.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carey Clements; and by his father, Jack Clements.
It was Pat’s wish to be cremated without public services. Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is assisting the family with arrangements.
