(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong is gearing up for this weekend’s “Freedom Fest.” The Village of Oblong and the Oblong Chamber are inviting the public to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. “Freedom Fest” begins this Saturday at 4 p.m. at Oblong Park and culminates in fireworks at 9:10 p.m. Chamber President, Angie Catt, says “Freedom Fest” will feature free bounce houses for the kids, food trucks, a cruise-in, a 50/50 drawing, and a performance by Absent Ground from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. To learn more, find the Oblong Chamber on Facebook.
