(Hutsonville) — A “Flood Warning” remains in effect through Sunday for the Wabash River at the Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, the Wabash is expected to rise to a crest of 19.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below the flood stage of sixteen feet on Sunday. Here at the Classic Hits, WTYE, studios, we recorded just shy of two inches of rainfall from last night’s storms. Authorities are again reminding the public to be “flood aware.” Drivers are encouraged to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.” WTYE continues to be an official weather recording and reporting station for the National Weather Service.
