More Storms Could Impact the Area Through the Weekend

(Undated) — We could be in for another round of storms. According to the “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon north of I-70 and tonight across the area. They say the probability of severe storms is low. There will be “periodic chances” of thunderstorms late Thursday through Saturday. They say while it is too early for specifics, there may be some threat for both severe weather as well as heavy rainfall and renewed flooding at times. Hot and humid conditions arrive Sunday and persist into next week. They say minor to moderate heat risk is likely.
