(Undated) — Scattered thunderstorms are expected again this afternoon through tonight. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, the probability of severe storms is low. However, heavy rain and a few thunderstorms are possible tonight and could lead to localized flooding. A “Flood Watch” remains in effect this afternoon through Saturday afternoon. They say additional periods of heavy rainfall and severe storms cannot be ruled out on Friday and Saturday as well. They say hot and humid conditions will arrive on Sunday and persist into next week, bringing a minor-to-moderate heat risk. The Wabash River at the Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant site is expected to fall below flood stage early today.
