State Fire Marshal Says “Leave The Fireworks to the Professionals”

(Undated) — The 4th of July is this weekend, and the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal encourages everyone to “let the professionals handle fireworks.” They say every year across the state, accidental fires, burn injuries, loss of limbs, and deaths occur due to the use of fireworks. They say that, in addition to fireworks, novelties such as sparklers, snappers, and poppers are very dangerous. Everyone is also reminded that many fireworks are illegal in the State of Illinois.
