“Numerous” Thunderstorms Forecast for the Area

According to the National Weather Service, severe thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into tonight, with damaging winds and isolated large hail. They say a few stronger storms are possible on Friday as well. They say during this time frame, periods of heavy rain may lead to localized flooding, and there is a 20 to 30 percent chance of rainfall exceeding 2 inches.
