(Oblong) — The public is being asked to take part in the “2027 Illinois Housing Blueprint” survey. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, took to social media to encourage the public to participate. She says the housing crisis is real, not just in Oblong or Crawford County, but everywhere. The “2027 Illinois Housing Blueprint” survey is part of the public outreach for a statewide housing plan, led by the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA). The purpose of this survey is to help the planning team further understand the housing and development needs of our communities. All current residents of Illinois are invited to take part in this planning process by completing this survey and providing valuable information about their experience and opinions of their community.
