LaDonna Stant, 83, of Annapolis, IL, died on July 13, 2026, at her home.
She was born on October 22, 1942, in Annapolis, the daughter of Berl and March (Tracy) Bonham. LaDonna grew up in a farmhouse near Annapolis and graduated from Hutsonville High School. She later worked for several years as a bank teller.
On May 18, 1969, LaDonna married Roy Don Stant. They shared nearly 48 years of marriage before his death on April 12, 2017.
LaDonna enjoyed tending her garden and especially loved her flowers. She spent many hours canning what she grew and cooking for the people she cared about. When she was relaxing, she could often be found watching NASCAR, a classic western, or one of her favorite old television shows.
More than anything, LaDonna enjoyed being around people. She treasured time spent with family and friends and was a true social butterfly who could strike up a conversation with anyone. Her friendly nature and love for visiting made people feel welcome wherever she went.
She is survived by two special nephews, Patrick & Donna Bonham (and their family) and Jonathan Bonham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Berl and March Bonham; her husband, Roy Don Stant; her sisters, Janet Bonham, who died in infancy, and Betty Powell; and her brothers, Larry Bonham and Roger Bonham.
A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25th at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will immediately follow on Saturday at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, rural Annapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to the “Crawford County Humane Society,” with envelopes available at the funeral home.
