School Facility Sales Tax Question is on the Unit 4 Agenda

(Oblong) — The Oblong Unit 4 Board meets tonight, and there will be a familiar item on the agenda. Under “New Business,” the Unit 4 Board will discuss and consider approving a resolution directing the Regional Superintendent of Schools to certify to the County Clerk the question of imposing a retailers’ occupation tax and a service occupation tax at a rate of 1% to appear on the November 3rd ballot. The same question appeared on the March Primary ballot, failing to pass by less than five hundred votes.
