Robinson Maroons Set to Begin Football Season on August 21st

(Springfield, IL) — The Illinois High School Association is releasing the 2026 Illinois high school football schedules for the upcoming fall season. Week one games kick off August 20th through the 22nd, a week earlier than usual, due to expanded playoffs debuting this year. The playoffs are expanding from 32 teams per class to 48 teams. The opening round of the postseason takes place October 23rd and 24th. The State Finals will be held on November 27th and 28th at Hancock Stadium on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal. The RHS Maroons are set to begin their season on August 21st on the road at Charleston.
