Wet Weather Remains in the Forecast for the Weekend

(Undated) — It looks like it could be a wet and rainy weekend. According to this morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, additional showers and thunderstorms are expected today and tonight. However, these are not expected to be severe. They say there will be daily chances of thunderstorms Saturday night through Wednesday, with potential for severe weather and heavy rain. Increasing heat and humidity will bring heat index values to around 100 for portions of central Illinois Sunday and Monday, and could result in heat-related illness with extended exposure.
