OHS Falls as Week 1 of the High School Football Season Begins

(Undated) — The 2026 high school football season is underway. The Oblong Panthers kicked off their 2026 season last night with a loss at Ron Welsh Field. The Panthers fell to Cerro Gordo 30-12. Tonight, the Palestine/Hutsonville Pioneers begin their season at home against Meridian with a 7 p.m. kickoff. The RHS Maroons will begin their season on the road tonight against Charleston. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Pregame on 101.7 WTYE and WTYEfm.com is set for 6:45 p.m.
