(Oblong) — Republic Services has announced the “Fall Clean Up” dates for the Village of Oblong. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says on Tuesday, September 29th, Republic Services will hold its Fall Cleanup in the Village. This service is open to paid-up Republic customers inside the village limits. Fielder says furniture and toys are accepted. Mattresses are accepted but must be wrapped in plastic and taped or in a mattress cover. Carpet is accepted but must be cut in four-foot sections and tied or taped. Republic will not accept electronics, construction materials, appliances, tires, yard waste, car parts, pianos, vehicle batteries, or propane tanks. She also says anything placed in paper bags or deteriorated cardboard boxes will not be picked up. Robinson will hold “Fall Clean Up” in October. The City’s yard waste Fall Clean-up will be the week of October 19th. The Republic Fall Clean-up will be the week of October 26th.
