“Flood Warning” Continues for Wabash River at Hutsonville

(Undated) — The National Weather Service has extended the “Flood Warning” for the Wabash River at Hutsonville. According to this morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, at 22.8 feet, flooding extends to River Road in several areas. They say flooding in this area affects “large expanses of agricultural land, river cabins and hunting areas on both sides of the river.” Most local, unimproved roads leading towards the river are flooded. These roads led to farms, river cabins, private residences, levees, and a few oil wells. They say the river at the Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant site is expected to fall below flood stage late Friday evening and continue to fall to 9.2 feet by Thursday, September 3rd.
