Julie Kay Hitt, 66, of Robinson, passed away at 11:40 A.M. on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Robinson Rehab and Nursing in Robinson, IL.

Julie was born June 3, 1960, in Riverside, CA, a daughter of Donald Robinson and Marilyn Lewis Robinson.

Julie graduated from Fairfield High School in 1978. She had worked for Stewart Security at Marathon and Hershey in Robinson. She was a longtime animal lover and volunteered her time with the Crawford County Humane Society. Julie also enjoyed giving back to her community as a 4-H Leader and was a member of the Western Saddle Club. She especially loved horses and cherished the time she spent around them.

Julie is survived by her children, David (Amy Carter) Fancil Jr. of Robinson and Jackie Fancil of Martinsville, IL; seven grandchildren, Levi Perrine, Kelsey (Brandon) Meeks, Bridgett Briner, Alaina (Billy Wisdom Jr.) Holcomb, Lily (Carson Adams) Holcomb, Sadie Fancil, and Angela Fancil; five great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Kimberly) Robinson of Magnolia, TX; one sister-in-law, Jerolyn Robinson of Wayne City, IL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dan Robinson; and a grandson, Zachary Perrine.

Julie will be remembered for her love of horses, her compassion for animals, and the many ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her family and friends will cherish the memories they made with her and the special place she held in their hearts.

Pulliam Funeral Home, 302 E. Main St., Oblong, IL 62449, is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be no services at this time.
