Maroons Got Rolled By Benton

(Robinson) — The RHS Maroons were on the wrong side of a lopsided 55-6 final in Friday night football action from Crosby Field. With the loss, the Maroons fall to 1-1 on the season. They will be back in action next Friday when they host Mt. Carmel for an LIC battle. The Aces will enter next week’s game at 2-0 after last night’s 35-28 win over Effingham. Elsewhere, the other two county teams will be in action on the road tonight. Palestine/Hutsonville will face Duggar in a 7 p.m. kickoff. The Oblong Panthers will face Macon. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. Both teams continue to look for their first wins of the season following Week 1 losses.
