(Palestine) — A popular recent addition to the Rodeo in Palestine has been canceled. According to the Palestine Development Association, due to significant flooding affecting the rodeo grounds and surrounding areas, the association has made the difficult decision to cancel the drone show scheduled to take place after the rodeo performances Friday and Saturday night. In a post on social media, they say multiple staging alternatives were discussed, but due to safety and FAA regulations regarding drone shows, they feel this is the most responsible decision given the current conditions. Flood waters also forced the cancelation of camping this year at Leaverton Park. However, all other weekend activities, including the Main Street Market Madness, all three rodeo performances, and the parade, are a go.
