(Undated) — Another run of hot and humid weather is forecast for this week. DTN Agriculture Meteorologist, John Baranick, says that 90s are not easy to do in September but they remain in the forecast.
Baranick says the preliminary statewide average August temperature in Illinois was 74.5 degrees, 0.9 degrees above 1991-2020 average and the 41st warmest August on record going back to 1895. Here at the Classic Hits studio we recorded and average high for August of 86. WTAY/WTYE continues to be an official weather recording and reporting station for the National Weather Service.
