(Undated) — Scattered showers and triple-digit temperatures are in the forecast. According to this morning’s “Hazardous Weather Outlook” from the National Weather Service, scattered thunderstorms are expected at times through this evening, posing a threat for heavy rainfall and isolated damaging wind gusts. They also forecast scattered thunderstorms for tomorrow, with a threat of heavy rainfall. Additional thunderstorm chances persist through the end of the week. Temperatures will be seasonally warm at times. Heat indices of 95 to 105 degrees are forecast for most of the area this afternoon, with heat indices around 100 degrees south of I-72 both Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
