Gas Prices Remain High

(Undated) — Despite a modest decline over the weekend, gas prices remain high. According to GasBuddy.com, the national average is $4.43 a gallon, six cents lower than Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is also down six cents at $4.75. In Indiana, the statewide average is $3.89 a gallon, five cents lower than Friday. Texas has the lowest statewide average in the nation at $3.88 a gallon. California has the highest prices in the nation, with a statewide average of $6.31 a gallon, a nickel higher than Friday.
