LTC Set to Participate in “Feed the Need” Food Drive

(Undated) — Lincoln Trail College has joined with community colleges statewide for the 3rd Annual “Feed the Need” food drive. Organizers say this event serves to address food insecurity in the state of Illinois as well as provide support for students and the communities they attend college in. The drive is set to begin on October 19th and run through the end of November. The “Feed the Need” campus food drive serves as a friendly competition among campuses and will help collect non-perishable food that will be provided to local food pantries and campus-based food banks. The Illinois Community College Board organizes the initiative, and last year the food drive collectively donated over 180,000 items.
