(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department has launched a new enforcement initiative. According to RPD Chief, Eric Schmidt, officers will continue conducting additional traffic enforcement through September 2027 in an effort to help reduce crashes and save lives. Schmidt says the enforcement effort will support the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Click it or Ticket,” and “Drive High Get a DUI” campaigns and that officers will conduct additional enforcement, including during periods with higher risk of serious crashes. The effort is supported by the federal fiscal year 2027 “Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program” grant administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
