RPD Reminding Drivers to Stay Safe During Halloween Celebrations

(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department is urging motorists to commit to safe driving this Halloween. RPD Chief, Eric Schmidt, says that if you are out enjoying Halloween festivities, make sure you have a safe, sober ride home. Schmidt says driving while impaired is never acceptable. The RPD encourages everyone to follow a few simple tips to keep our roads safe. Plan a safe way to get home before attending any party, designate a sober driver, always wear a seat belt, and if you see an impaired driver on the road, contact local law enforcement. Drivers are also reminded to be on the lookout for children and their families walking through neighborhoods after dark in search of candy and spooky fun.
