Bailey and Pritzker Square Off in Governor’s Race

(Undated) — One of the “highlights” of tomorrow’s General Election will be the vote for Governor. Darren Bailey is set to rematch Governor, J.B. Pritzker. Bailey won the Republican Illinois Governor nomination in the March Primary. The former Illinois House member lost to Pritzker in the governor’s race in 2022. Pritzker didn’t face any Primary opposition as he seeks a third term. Appearing yesterday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Pritzker said he’s confident Democrats can take control of both the U.S. House and Senate from Republicans. The governor didn’t confirm whether he plans to run for president in 2028, instead saying he will work to make sure a Democrat wins. Republican Darren Bailey met with supporters on Saturday in Chicago, where he plans to campaign further today.
